MPHASI TO PLAY IN CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUP STAGES

Malawian attacker, Chifundo Mphasi will play in the CAF Champions League group stages with Power Dynamos after the Zambian Champions became the first team to qualify for the group stages on Friday afternoon.

This comes after the team knocked out Ugandan side, Vipers SC 3-2 on aggregate as their second leg match ended 1-1 adding to their 1-2 away win last weekend.

Meanwhile, Mphasi missed both matches due to injury but was the one who scored a decisive penalty for the Aba Yellow to progress past the first preliminary round.

He remains the Malawian player outside the country whose team still remains in the tournament after William Thole and his Simba Bhora side were knocked out of the competition.
