Kumwembe stars in Green Buffaloes comeback victory

Christopher Kumwembe produced a brilliant performance as he scored his first goal of the season before winning a penalty for the second goal as Green Buffaloes came from behind to beat ZESCO United 2-1 in the MTN Super League in Zambia on Sunday.

The forward was handed a start in the game and Solomon Sakala put ZESCO ahead in the 28th minute but Kumwembe levelled the scores in 66 minutes with a fine header.

The forward then was fouled into the box at 79 minutes which Chilimba Moonga converted to win the game for the team.

The win took Buffaloes to 15 points from four wins, three draws and three losses in position 9 of the League while it was Kumwembe's first league goal this season.
