Ntaja hands Bangwe first defeat to top NDL Standings
Ntaja United handed Bangwe All Stars their first League defeat in their first away match after beating them 2-0 at the Balaka Stadium on Saturday afternoon to go top of the NBS Bank National Division League.
Frazer Mbewe stroke on 38th minute in the first half to hand the hosts a lead at half time before Brian Kuntambira adding second on 53rd minute to kill off the game and seal a win for the Machinga based side.
Head coach for the victors, Chisomo Kamlanje, said he was happy to claim home points as it is needed to be picking points at home in the League.
"I told my boys that we need to win as we were playing at home, it will be hard to be dropping points at home so they really worked hard and we got the win." Said Kamlanje.
Speaking after the defeat, Isaac Jomo Osman, accepted the defeat saying his boys made errors into the game that led to the defeat.
"We know we will be having these kind of results because the League is tough and teams are prepared so mind you it was also our first away game we were are playing in different surfaces that our boys are not used to them so we will go back home and look into what went wrong." Said Osman.
The win took Ntaja United up to the top of the League with 7 points from two wins and one draw, having scored five and conceded one while Bangwe drop down to fourth with 6 points from two wins and one loss.
