Eagles drops to 7th after back-to-back losses
Blue Eagles have dropped down to 7th in the TNM Super League after suffering a 1-0 away defeat over Chitipa United in a match played at the Chitipa Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The team were coming from a 3-0 defeat over Kamuzu Barracks in their previous outing and were stunned by Nelson Sikaona's first half goal to suffer back to back defeats in the League.
Head coach for the team, De Klerk Msakakuona conceded the defeat saying they failed to utilise their chances and also the loss is a blow to their team.
"The loss is not good because we were good, we played 7 games without a loss, we beat drew against Dedza Dynamos then beat Bullets but now two defeats against KB and now Chitipa, it is not good but we will sort out all problems and come back stronger." Said Msakakuona.
Eagles now drop to 7th on the table with 23 points from 6 wins, five draws and four defeats after the first round.
