Mhone stars as Eagles fly into top four
Blue Eagles broke into the top four of the TNM Super League after beating Karonga United 0-1 at the Karonga Stadium on Saturday afternoon thanks to a Micium Mhone's lone goal.
Mhone scored a 25th minute wonder strike after beating two players before finding the back of the net to seal the team's third win in the last 7 games in which they stay unbeaten in the league.
Head coach for the team, De Klerk Msakakuona, thanked his boys for their victory as they needed it much in the League.
"I have to thank the boys for the win, they fought indeed and I'm happy. The aim was to get a goal and defend it, simple." Said Msakakuona.
The Eagles have levelled on points with Silver Strikers on third and Ekhaya FC on fifth as they have 20 points from 12 games having claimed five wins, five draws and two losses.
