WADABWA RETURNS TO WANDERERS
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers has announced that they have welcomed back their former hitman, Peter Wadabwa, in a bid to solve their striking problem in the 2024 season.
The Nomads have made the announcement on Wednesday evening via their Facebook page saying that the former Flames Winger-cum-Striker will be the team's strikers trainer for this season.
"Mighty Mukuru Wanderers FC welcomes its former forward, Peter 'Pierre' Wadabwa as Strikers' Trainer. Wadabwa, who launched his football career at Mighty Wanderers Youth, played for various Clubs both locally and beyond the boarders." Wrote Wanderers.
Wadabwa has been silent after announcing his retirement from active football in 2018 and this marks his return to Football.
Some of the Clubs he has played for are Silver Strikers, Escom United, Mighty Wanderers, Jomo Cosmos (RSA), Thanda Royal Zulu (RSA), Golden Arrows (RSA) and Desportivo de Maputo (Mozambique).

CHAZIYA AND SINGINI AVAILABLE FOR THE BLANTYRE DERBY
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers has received a major boost ahead of their meeting with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in their first Blantyre Derby of the season as they welcome back their captain, Lawrence Chaziya and midfielder, Blessings Singini from injury.
The team's deputy coach, Meke Mwase, has confirmed the development when he talked to the members of the Press on Friday and said he has no injury ahead of the Blantyre Derby.
"No, we don't have injuries in the team as everyone is fit for the game and we are full house unless there are other sporting related issues." Said Mwase.
Meanwhile, ahead of the game, Mwase said the Nomads have prepared very well for the game and are looking for a positive result in the match.
"It's a new season with new ideas so we have prepared very well for the game and everyone knows how important this game is so our preparations have been good and we are good to go." Added Mwase.

PEMBA RENEWS NOMADS PARTNERSHIP
Pemba Rubber Stamp has renewed their partnership with Mighty Mukuru Wanderers for the 2024 season as the company will continue awarding player of the month at the team.
This has been disclosed on Friday afternoon at the Golden Peacock in Blantyre when the two sides signed papers in agreement to the extension of the deal.
Speaking during the signing in ceremony, the managing director of the company, Davie Pemba, said his company thought of coming back at the team because players were left motivated when getting these awards in 2023.
"We thought it wise that we should extend the deal because Wanderers worked hard and performed well last season only that they missed the trophies but players played well because they were motivated with these awards."
"Now this year, we are expecting them to perform better than they did last year and that may be this year they can win the trophies." Said Pemba.
Meanwhile, the team's Chief Executive Officer, Panganani Ndovi, said the deal will help in developing football in the country and also restoring the team's glory, which they are working now.
"We are very happy to have extended this partnership, i think this is one way of making the game uplifted and also that players get motivated when they win these awards as they go with something and also the driving skills which will help them in life after football as they will display these skills and accolades." Said Ndovi.
As stated by Pemba, the company will award the player of the month with a miniature, amount of K300,000 plus driving school lessons offered at K700,000 which will be offered to the player and also his relative if he already knows how to drive.
The partnership is for one year, that's 2024 season, and it will start from the month of April to December this year.
"I HAVE COME TO CONQUER IN MALAWI" - PREDATOR
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers new signing, Sam Thierry Tanjong, said he has come on a mission in Malawi to conquer everything and win cups but more especially the League in Malawi.
The Baroka forward said this on Thursday when penning a two year deal with the Nomads and said his teammates and members of the board welcomed him very well and he feels home at the Nomads.
He said he has set his eyes on winning everything as he has come in Malawi to conquer as a Predator.
"As a soccer player, when I say I'm on a mission it's like I want to conquer so I want to conquer everything and win the Cups in Malawi but more especially I want to win the league in Malawi." Said Tangong.
The Former Cameron U-20 International arrived in the country three weeks ago and has trained with the team for the past two weeks, giving him the chance to make his debut in the Blantyre Derby against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on Saturday.

"IF YOU CAN'T SCORE YOU CAN'T WIN" - MWASE
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Assistant coach, Meke Mwase, hailed his boys for trying hard to find a goal but they could not as they played a goalless draw at the Mpira Stadium.
Mwase said this after the Nomads played a 0-0 draw against Bangwe All Stars in a game which they dominated a lot and said his team's failure to get a goal means it was really hard to win.
"These are one of the games that we will be facing in the league, we played very well we created chances but if we can not score then we can't win the game but thanks to the boys for their performance, they tried everything to win the game." Said Mwase.
The Nomads next assignment is facing FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in a Blantyre Derby next week and they will go into the match on third position with 8 points from 4 games in the TNM Super League.

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Assistant coach, Meke Mwase, said his team respects Bangwe All Stars because it is a good team but they are ready to play them on Sunday.
He said this ahead of their meeting at the Mpira Stadium and said his boys are ready and that they are not underrating Bangwe because they can pull a shocker on them.
"It's another cracker and we respect Bangwe because it's a good team but we are ready for the match and everything is quite well, we respect them but we have prepared for a win." Said Mwase.
Meanwhile, the former Flames coach said he is happy that what people are now seeing what they wanted to be happening at the team, that's winning and they are itching for more.
The Nomads will go into the match on fourth position as they have 7 points from three games and could move back to top if they win with a margin of more than one goal.

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers coaches, Nsanzurwimo Ramadan and Meke Mwase, plus their Chief Executive Officer, Panganani Ndovi, were in attendance as Bangwe All Stars played Karonga United at the Mpira Stadium on Sunday.
The three attended the match as they face them in their next match this coming weekend and was part of knowing their play and tactics.
Bangwe were held to a 1-1 draw at the Stadium as they remain bottom of the table with a point from their three games this season.
Meanwhile, the Nomads are top after having two wins and a draw in their three matches, earning 7 points in the process.

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers deputy Coach, Meke Mwase, says he is expecting a very good game against Creck Sporting Club this coming Saturday as he says it is a good side.
Mwase said this on Friday after completing their preparations for the games and said Macdonald Mtetemera will face a different side that he managed to beat last season.
"We have finished our preparations and we are expecting to have a good game as Creck is a good side, they have done well in the past two weeks so it's going to be a tough one. Nginde is a good coach but he has gone to another team and we are also different from last season's panel meaning the game will be good." Said Mwase.
He said further that the Nomads will not have their captain, Lawrence Chaziya who got injured against FOMO but he has sorted out the problem already.
The Nomads go into the game on fourth position having won once and drawn once in their opening two games.
"A TEAM CANNOT WIN WITH VIOLENCE" - MPINGANJIRA
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers President, Dr Thomson Mpinganjira, has advised supporters of the team and other teams that they should remain disciplined so that they win more sponsors in commercialisation drive and also perform well in their games.
Mpinganjira said this as he highlighted the effects of acts of violence in different teams on business grounds and performance of the teams. He said it is hard for a team to win when supporters are acting violent in matches.
"When you are busy with vandalism, it disturbs the players, the coaching panel and also the whole team because the attention is switched on defending the club from punishments instead of focusing on winning games." Said Mpinganjira.
He further said this also destroys the image of the team that gets lid of Sponsors and affects the team financially.

The Happiness era at Mighty Mukuru Wanderers started will a shared happiness after the Nomads played a 1-1 draw against Kamuzu Barracks on Sunday afternoon at the Kamuzu Stadium.
The Nomads led through Christopher Kumwembe but Zeliati Nkhoma levelled in the second half to settle for a point but Coach for the Nomads, Nsanzurwimo Ramadan said it's not bad.
"It is not bad, the play was good and I'm happy that we were able to attack our opponents only that we were unlucky not to score and also this team is difficult to play with, they don't know what they play only long balls so they Disturbed us and we started playing like them and we lost it." Said Ramadan.
The Nomads will enter in the second week on position 10 after managing to collect a point from their first match of the season.

WANDERERS STRIPS OFF SANUDI'S CAPTAINCY
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers will have Lawrence Chaziya as their new captain in 2024 season after the new technical panel opted for the Center back.
The Nomads confirmed the development on Wednesday during a meet and greet session at the Golden Peacock in Blantyre and in a bid to make Wanderers mighty again, Chaziya is the man.
Meanwhile, he will be deputised by Felix Zulu and Richard Chipuwa in that order meaning Stanley Sanudi has been completely stripped off his captaincy.
The Nomads kick off the season on Sunday as they play Kamuzu Barracks at the Kamuzu Stadium.

MPINGANJIRA PROMISES TO SPOIL NOMADS
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers President, Dr Thomson Mpinganjira, has promised continued support to the players in the 2024 season but that will depend on how they will perform in the season.
The Business gulu said this on Wednesday during a meet and greet session of the players and technical panel at the Golden Peacock in Blantyre and said he will help the players to participate in international tournaments if they perform well.
"It's up to you to play in CAF Champions League or to be playing in Karonga, Mzuzu, Lilongwe or Kamuzu Stadium. If you perform, we will be motivated to support you to participate in regional tournaments. It's entirely up to you not us, it's not about money but your performance," Mpinganjira challenged players.
Mpinganjira also promised to be doubling or tripling the allowances if they continue to win games in the forth coming season.
Meanwhile, the team's technical director, Yasin Osman, challenged players that they can do
WANDERERS TO WELCOME NEW PLAYERS
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers deputy coach, Meke Mwase, says the team is expecting to welcome new players ahead of the 2024 season in order to beef up their squad this week.
Mwase said this on Monday after the team started their preparations ahead of the TNM Super League opener of which he said everything is going well. He said the team will welcome new players despite reaching the targeted 25 players released in their squad.
"I think we are looking forward to that [adding new players] definitely we are going to have some new players. I think targeting both local and international at least one or two are coming." Said Mwase.
The Nomads have employed Nsazurwimo Ramadan who is continuing saying that he wants to restore happiness at the team in a make Wanderers Mighty Again campaign.

SUBSTITUTE NYONDO SEALS A COMEBACK WIN
Substitute Clement Nyondo netted a winner with 15 minutes from time as Mighty Mukuru Wanderers came from behind to beat 10-man Civo United 2-1 at the Champions Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Nomads trailed at half time after Muhammad Biason fired the Civil Servants ahead on 39th minute despite a Kelvin Kadzinje's red card on 23rd minute.
Ramadan reacted by introducing Christopher Kumwembe for Misheck Botomani and the talisman levelled after met by Gad Chirwa on 47th minute before getting injured on 65th minute and Nyondo replaced him.
Chirwa did well and set Nyondo to complete the winner with 15 minutes from time and seal the first win against a fellow Elite league side for the Nomads.
