DIVISION ONE BEATS PREMIER DIVISION AS BETIKA PUMPS K27 MILLION

One of the country's gaming and betting company, Betika, has pumped in K27 million to Southern Region Football Association as they will sponsor the Division One league in 2024 season.

This has been disclosed during a signing on ceremony on Friday as said by the Association's Chair, Raphael Humba during the week.

Meanwhile, Betika's representative, Gift Palavia said the company has thought of sponsoring the league because they believe in developing football from the grassroots.

"The development of Football in the country comes from this league and if we promise it, we will help to bring about new talents for the goodness of our Football." Said Palavia.

However, SRFA Chair, Raphael Humba, said the sponsorship will go towards division one which was played without a sponsor last season with forced them to use a subvention of K15 million from FAM to support the league.

"ITS A MUST WIN GAME FOR US" - MWANSA

Moyale Barracks head coach, Pritchard Mwansa, says their match against Civo United on Saturday is a must win as they look to pick up from the positive result of the game.

Mwansa said this ahead of the match at the Mzuzu Stadium and said he has prepared his team to defend well after found to concede four goals in their opening two games.

"It is a tough game looking at how our friends are, they are a good team but we are prepared and have solved every problem encountered in the past two games so this is a must win for us so that we pick up from that win going ahead in the league." Said Mwansa.

The former Moyale Barracks midfielder said his team will look to defend more and attack more in the same process as they look to pick a win in the match.

Moyale are 7th on the table after collecting three points from two games they have played so far in the 2024 TNM Super League season.

"CRECK IS A GOOD SIDE WITH A GOOD COACH" - MWASE

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers deputy Coach, Meke Mwase, says he is expecting a very good game against Creck Sporting Club this coming Saturday as he says it is a good side.

Mwase said this on Friday after completing their preparations for the games and said Macdonald Mtetemera will face a different side that he managed to beat last season.

"We have finished our preparations and we are expecting to have a good game as Creck is a good side, they have done well in the past two weeks so it's going to be a tough one. Nginde is a good coach but he has gone to another team and we are also different from last season's panel meaning the game will be good." Said Mwase.

He said further that the Nomads will not have their captain, Lawrence Chaziya who got injured against FOMO but he has sorted out the problem already.

The Nomads go into the game on fourth position having won once and drawn once in their opening two games.

Death has been announced of a former Tigers and Wanderers defender, Kondwani Lufeyo.

Lufeyo was reported not in good condition four days ago and was admitted at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre.

SUPER SAKUWA PATNERS KB

TNM Super League 2016 season Champions, Kamuzu Barracks, has revealed Super Sakuwa Steel Limited as their official partner for the ongoing 2024 soccer season.

The announcement has been made on Friday as the two sides have made an agreement that the company will sponsor the team's kit for the 2024 season with the team's logo.

The deal also include a K100,000 prize to any player who wins a player of the month and K50,000 for the man of the match winners.

Last season, the Yellow Marines were sponsored by Masters Bakery Company but the deal ended after the end of the season.
